Do I need to pay my deductible for a roof replacement?

On September 1st, 2019, TX HB2102 made it a criminal offense for roofing contractors to provide any kind of deductible assistance. Homeowners must pay the full deductible amount much like an auto claim has always been. Gone are the days of contractors providing discounts, credits, or other monetary incentives.

Now, roofing companies are playing on an even field and must complete the work for the insurance price. This makes it more important than ever to choose the company that will provide you with the best quality workmanship and materials. Baker Roofing & Construction will only install a minimum of a 30-year shingle even if you have a 3-tab shingle roof now. We never use felt paper but opt for the stronger and longer-lasting synthetic underlayment instead. Additionally, we always use ice and water barrier in all valleys, around chimneys, skylights, and other leak-prone areas.
